Wayne Bader Sr.

Wayne Bader, Sr,70, passed away peacefully at home with his wife and his family by his side. Son of Jack Bader and Carol Ross, Wayne was a graduate of Lakeland High School in 1973.He was an avid Nascar and football fan. He was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds). Terry LaBonte and Kyle Busch were his favorite drivers (Sorry, Elliot fans). He also kept an eye on his Lakeland Chiefs. He worked at Haddon Craftsmen as a bookbinder for 18 years. He was also an Over the Road Driver, which led him to many casinos that he would visit while he was waiting to drop a load or pick one up.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Beth, who has been with him for 19 years before they were married. He is also survived by his honorary daughters, Ashley, at home, Mariah and husband Mitchell, Dunmore, Archer, Scranton, Anna-Marie and partner Gary, Scranton and Armonda Caulkins, Iowa. He also had 2 grandsons, William Propes Jr. and 2 honorary granddaughters; also, Carrie Propes, Scranton and Branda Bader, Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his brother in law, Vincent Reyrat and his Mother in law, Elizabeth Reyrat.
We want to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. We also want to send a very special thank you to the Ogden family for their love and support for him, Ashley, and Beth during this time. He is loved so much and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Edward J. Zemalkowski

Edward J. Zemalkowski, 83, of Scranton, died Sunday evening at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Carol Howey, who died in 2003.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Edward and Stephanie Meleski Zemalkowski. Ed was a graduate of Scranton Technical High school and was a proud US Army veteran. He was employed at Arlington Industries until his retirement. He was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Scranton. Ed was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and the many pets he had throughout his life.
Surviving are his son, Joseph Zemalkowski and his wife, Karen, Scranton; daughters, Christine Zemalkowski and husband, Glen Garey, Newton Twp.; and Amy Zemalkowski, Scranton; a grandson, Evan Zemalkowski; a sister, Arlene Hallesky; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Wiscosky.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave., South Scranton. Interment, Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Davis St., Scranton. Those attending the funeral Friday morning are asked to go directly to church.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, 1132 Prospect Ave., South Scranton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd., South Abington Twp., PA 18411.

Gary R. Roberts

Gary Roberts, 71, of Clarks Summit, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Beverly Eccleston, they would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary on September 6th.
Born in Utica, NY, Gary was the son of the late Richard Roberts and Elizabeth Quigley.
He was a 1973 graduate of Westmoreland High School in Westmoreland, NY and worked as a self-employed contractor. Most recently, he was employed at Lowe's in Dickson City. Gary was a regular attendee and served at Heritage Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Justin Roberts and wife, Maggie, Raymond, NH; Tim and wife, Danielle, Lake Ariel; James and wife Julie, Clarks Summit; and Katie Hummel and husband, Jarrius, Clarks Summit; grandchildren, Mallory Penney and husband, Josh; Billy, Justin, Timmy, Gage, Brock, and Griffin Roberts; a sister, Cynthia Dahl and companion, John Gilot; a brother, Jeff Roberts; and many sisters and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews
Gary was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfred Humphrey, and his mother and father-in-law Margaret and Edward Eccleston.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd. Clarks Summit. Interment, Clarks Green Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd. Clarks Summit, PA 18411.

Stella F. Patrick

Stella F. Patrick, 98, of Scranton, died Friday morning at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, who died in 1981.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Rafael and Rose Gallo Comandy, Stella attended Scranton Technical High School. She was employed by A&P Bakery for 15 years. Afterwards, she was employed at Allied Health Care for over 40 years, where she was the first supervisor of the Allied Workshop. She was also the first to receive the Employee of the Month Award and was a recipient of the Mary Campbell Award. Stella was a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Stella is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Ripa, and her husband, Frank, Old Forge; a son, Stephen Patrick, Scranton; grandchildren, Patricia Ripa, Old Forge, Trina Marsico, Old Forge, and Shawn Patrick, Tampa, Fl; 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Viola Rooney, Rosemarie Wetland, Doris Davis, and Delores Evans and a brother, Patsy Comandy.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, with Divine Liturgy at 11:00 am in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, 430 N. Seventh Ave., Scranton, by Rev. Myron Myronyuk. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery, Kane St., Scranton. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 am in church.
