As we celebrate 45 years of serving Northeastern Pennsylvania, we're sharing reflections from the people, partners, volunteers, staff and community members who have helped shape the NeighborWorks story.

Today, we're featuring Jolen Brennan, Broker/Owner at Iron Valley Real Estate Greater Scranton, who shared:

"Since becoming a partner agent in 2019, my relationship with NeighborWorks has been deeply important to both myself and my clients, but even more so to the Scranton community as a whole. From speaking at my first First-Time Homebuyer Seminar years ago to presenting at the Congolese Housing Series at the University of Scranton, I have seen firsthand how their education empowers underserved communities.

Through their vital grant programs, I’ve had the privilege of helping buyers close on homes that would have otherwise been out of reach. Beyond real estate, roll-up-your-sleeves initiatives like Paint the Town, Beautiful Blocks and local community cleanups prove that NeighborWorks doesn't just talk about change: they create it. They are a vital organization, and Iron Valley Real Estate looks forward to continuing this incredible partnership for many years to come. Happy 45th Anniversary!"

We're grateful for partnerships and relationships like these that have helped strengthen our communities over the years. Thank you for being part of our story!

We’d like to give a HUGE shout-out to the incredible volunteers from MTF Biologics for making today’s SafetyWorks volunteer day a success!

Over 80 volunteers were mobilized to provide exterior painting and small home repairs for eight households across the Pine Brook section of Scranton (on what will likely be the hottest day of the year). Thank you so much!

We would also like to thank our partners from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging for helping make this event a success!
