Found this note to myself in my journal from a year ago…

“If I am in a situation where I start to need validation from others I need to stop and re-evaluate the intention and personal gain.

Recognizing the life I have built for myself as an artist, mother, wife, friend, daughter and sister should be admirable to myself. I have set out to do and to have all that I have. If I want to invest into my studio practice in a more public way there is nothing stopping me. Stay the course. Keep looking, making, and sharing.”

As an artist I can say while I am not always “making” I am always “working”.
I am watching, listening, feeling, absorbing, processing and collecting. Working on my craft.

This next chapter of my life is the interpretation so far…
