Another shout out to Adam Wackel of WackedUp Precision and Shane Kepler for putting on a fantastic match this weekend. I really enjoyed the course of fire. No silly games or balancing acts required. Every stage was straight forward precision shooting.
The 2 minute par time coupled with appropriate target sizes gave even the newest shooters great opportunities for impacts.
My favorite stage of the day was actually the tiebreaker stage. It was done with a custom 22lr built around Zermatt Arms new RemX action. All I can say is WOW Literally just WOW. The action was glassy smooth. Actually too smooth for a rookie rimfire guy like me. I couldn't even tell if I was picking up a round. It was ridiculous. Of the 850+ rounds fired that day I didn't hear of a single malfunction of any kind and no loss of zero. A RimX is absolutely in my future!
Adam poured a lot of time and money into this match and it showed. Everything was top notch. The food was good, the mover "the damn mover" never missed a lick all day and the ROs did a great job.
As a match director myself I really appreciate all of the unseen work and workers that goes on to make it happen. For fear of missing someone I dare not mention any names. You know who you are and THANK YOU!
For those of you who don't know Adam of WackedUp Precision he is relatively new to the scene but is an extremely talented machinist. With his love of guns and a sharp eye for detail he has been putting his high-end CNCs to work spinning up prefits for Zermatt Arms and Impact actions. The tolerances he is able to achieve are truly mind blowing and a nice compliment to the near perfect tolerances of the TL3s.
I currently have 4 of his barrels so you could say I am all in on WackedUp Precision. Adam also makes a barrel vise. I bought one this weekend while touring his shop. They are not your garden variety vise. They are more of a professional gun smithing vise. I needed a good vice and as soon as I saw his with all of the features I knew I couldn't do any better.
Thanks again Adam and Shane for the great match. Looking forward to what you have planned for next year!

Day one standings. Any discrepancies let us know tomorow.
Nebraska Precision Rifleman would like to thank the Long Rangers for hosting the team shoot this past weekend. Although we came up short for the W we all had a fantastic time.
The course was unique and challenging. I didn't think I would like the unknown distance stages but they turned out to be my favorite. I was really not looking forward to the fence post and the chain stage but they turned out to be a blast also and required some serious team work. I have shot a couple of other matches the long Rangers have put on and have always enjoyed their course of Fire. That being said I would have to say this one was my favorite.
We would also like to send out a big congratulations to the first place team.
Great shooting Keye Kinnamon, Brian Ebberson, Luke McCorkindale, Mark Fiala, and Clete McLeod. Well played gentleman!
All in all I was very proud of our team. Individually we finished as followed.
1. Quinton Wagoner 68
2. Justen Eggers 67
5. Lee Anderson 55
9. Andrew Leise 48
11. Trevor Evans 46
With a combined score 284 points we finished 36 points ahead of the first place team but we were slower. As per the rules this was a time only event so with penalties we lost fair and square.
Again we would like to thank the Lone Ranger's for hosting such a fun event. Also we need to thank the ROs for donating their free time to help out with the match. Range officers are the heart and soul of any good match and I'm here to say they did an outstanding job!
Good shooting.
