Happy memorial day to everyone! Today we honor those who fought for our freedom. A huge thank you from First Student.

Hope everyone has had a great start to their summer break! Both Scottsbluff and Gering will be doing summer school so if you need info on bussing please call 308-635-6214. We will see those of you doing summer school on Tuesday and the rest of you in August when school starts back up. Have fun this summer, but stay safe!

Employee Spotlight!

First Student Nebraska is nominating Loy Yerton! Loy has been with us since September of 2020 and is always in a fantastic mood. Bringing a smile to everyone’s face anytime he is in the room. Loy is such a joy to work with and all the employees get along with him, I couldn’t imagine a work day without him! The location also received an e-mail about Loy from a teacher that is quoted below.

“I would like to give a shout out to Loy for his safe defensive driving that allowed us to get home safely last night. There was an accident that happened on I-80 probably minutes before we came up to it where a vehicle was jack-knifed in the left lane of traffic and two semi-trucks were in the process of pulling over to assist. Loy's evasive maneuvers kept us from hitting this vehicle head on or the semis that were pulling over to assist. I know that it isn't always easy to drive kids around and we have been short staffed for drivers, but I was very thankful that we had such a competent driver getting us home safely last night!”

We want to thank Loy for his positive attitude and always getting his passengers to and from school safely!
