We had a great time at our 30th year celebration last evening at East Cliff Brewery. It was great to see many friends, past staff members, clients (old and current) and associate firms. I'm embarrassed to to say that I was having such a good time I forgot to take photos! Here are a few shots snapped by Dave Diepersloot. IDE Co-founder and President, Dave Moriconi, was invited to speak in the Medical Wearables Panel Discussion, at the Wearable Technology Show this week in Santa Clara:

Dave spoke of the importance of Human Factors in product design, particularly in products developed for the sick and elderly.

Technology can vastly improve our lives, but only if we can use the technology in an intuitive, predictable, and comfortable way. Intuitive button layouts, smooth contours to improve comfort, and legible print are examples of features that can make a huge difference to the usability of a medical product.

We'd like to congratulate Dave on successfully bringing a human-centered perspective to the panel discussion!
