We can't wait for Schenectady Kids Arts Festival 2026!
Happy Cinco de Mayo to all!
New York Folklore always brings the magic of other cultures to our festival. For the 32nd Annual Kids Arts Festival , they will bring 2 ~ stone carving and fairy tails!
Dr. Anping Liu, shone here with a watercolor, will demonstrate Chinese stone carving, while tradition bearer D’Vonne Faulks will be teaching kids how to braid “fairy” hair, using traditional African American hair braiding techniques and sparkly “fairy hair!”
Both of these artists received Support for Artist grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, which is also an event sponsor of our festival.
