Guardian Security Systems

Caleb and I went to Colorado for a small convention. Alarm Connections is the national company that we did work for in West Palm Beach. It was a great job, and it was good to meet the people we were working for. Alarm Connections has partners across America and they are working to grow EVERYWHERE. Some of the discussion panels did not really impact Guardian, so we went hiking 3 days before the conference, and blew off the Thursday meetings to go hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Because of Caleb's desire to get home, we left Friday 3:02 Am, and drove the 24 hours straight, and got home at 4:57 Am. The Hybrid was flawless and since buying it in June, we are now over 10200 miles. 43.6 mpg (but that will go back up since we don't live in the mountains.

Back in Savannah for a couple of months. Our teams just complete around 340 jobs putting cameras in Jiffy L**e locations. Caleb and I did 114, most in Washington State, but some in Ga., Tn. and Louisiana. We had a team that went to the North East, then to Chicago, another team did Arizona and California, and the other team went to cold weather in Mn, Wi, Il., Ne and Iowa.

We allowed a big company to dictate the schedule, which once again was a year waiting to get the contract, but only 2 months to complete the jobs. They get a more consistent install when they give my teams the time they need to get it right.

All in all, we learned a lot. This was the first time we had 4 teams to coordinate, but literally are writing a guide book for the future, making sure to do somethings and making sure to never do other things again.

In staying with our personal strengths, I will go after the contracts and coordinate the teams, with Caleb teaching and doing quality control functions.
