Position: Agriculture Service Technician

Location: Derr Equipment - Savannah, Missouri
Reports To: Agriculture Service Manager

If you enjoy fixing things, working complex mechanical problems, and working with your hands, then this job is for you! Service technicians are essential to the success of our operation and we are always needing new talent to keep up with our exponential growth. This position will involve working on equipment in both our shop and in the field at customer’s farms. You will not always be cooped up in the same shop day after day and every day brings new and unique challenges. So if you are someone who enjoys on the job learning and doesn’t like doing the same things over and over, this position is for you.

Essential Job Functions
• Independently perform basic to complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work on agricultural equipment
• Complete legible and thorough documentation as required with work assignments
• Effectively communicate equipment problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers
• Attend appropriate, recommended training off-site
• Maintain current product knowledge
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• Must have own tools or ability to acquire them
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Safety-minded work habits

Preferred Qualifications
• Successful completion of a Tech School Program
• Experience working on Case IH and/or Kubota equipment
• Commercial Driver’s License
