This beautiful patient came to see Dr. Jacqueline Cheng feeling bothered by her lower eye bags. She shared that they made her look more tired and older than she felt. Like many patients, she wasn’t looking to change how she looked, but rather to look more refreshed and like herself again.

Just one month after her lower blepharoplasty, the difference is already so noticeable. Her under-eyes appear smoother, brighter, and more youthful, while still looking completely natural.

Dr. Cheng performed a transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty, a technique that allows access to the lower eyelid fat through the inside of the eyelid. Because the incision is hidden inside the eyelid, this approach helps to preserve the natural structure of the lower lid.

During surgery, the under-eye fat was carefully repositioned rather than simply removed. This helps restore smooth contours between the lower eyelid and the upper cheek, avoiding the hollow or “overdone” look that can sometimes occur when fat is removed alone.

To further refine the result, Dr. Cheng also performed a conservative skin pinch, removing a small amount of excess skin from the lower eyelid to tighten and smooth the area while maintaining a natural appearance.

Although she’s still early in the healing process at just one month post-op, she already looks brighter, rested, and refreshed. Even better? Her results will continue to improve as swelling fully resolves over the coming months.
