The Tucci Project is heartbroken and deeply mourns the passing of guitarist and vocalist, Al Owen. Al’s blistering guitar and mesmerizing voice were an integral part of our sound but perhaps his biggest attribute to the group was his stage presence and antics. Al would light up every stage, no matter how big or small with his explosive energy. Without question, Al was the heart and soul of the Tucci Project’s live performances. As excellent of a musician and performer as Al was, he was an even better human being. As many people have said, “To know Al was to love Al.” There may not have been a kinder or more optimistic person on the planet. As much as we will miss the tone of his guitar and the power of his vocals, we will miss the man and his massive laugh infinitely more. Until we meet again, brother. As a final statement, we strongly urge anyone who has not yet been vaccinated to please do so.
