Roof Inspections – Part 2 🏠

Another area we pay close attention to during a roof inspection is the roof-to-wall transition.

Many older tile roofs were installed with closed valley systems, which can allow water to collect against the wall instead of directing it away efficiently. Over time, that can increase the risk of leaks and water damage.

Today, we install open valley tile roof systems that help channel water where it belongs—safely into the gutter and away from your home’s walls.

This Sarasota home was showing major signs of age, along with several previous repairs. One of the biggest concerns was standing water on the flat roof section caused by improper drainage.

We corrected the slope to help water drain properly and completed the main roof with GAF - Roofing Timberline HDZ shingles in Driftwood.

Now the home is properly protected, ready for the solar panels to be reinstalled, and built to handle the years ahead.

Is your roof starting to look a little rough? It may be time to give us a call.
