He was starving on the streets of Mexico and being bullied by other dogs. 💔 Today, he is the heart and soul of his new home.

Meet Trupper, a one-year-old pitt bull we rescued from a truly precarious situation. He was covered in mange and suffering from malnutrition. Our incredible team member Karina brought him to our Home for Hope to begin treatment and then took him home with her as a foster so he could decompress. It wasn't long before she fell fully in love with this special boy (how could you not with that underbite?!).

Today, Truper is hers for keeps. It was a classic foster fail, and we couldn't be happier about it! Thank you Karina for all you do to rescue dogs off the street and for giving Trupper a beautiful new life!

While we were in Mexico last week, Trupper paid us a visit at the shelter and we couldn't get over how happy he looks. A truly miraculous transformation!

We made it across the border! The dogs have their passports stamped and are settled in for the long trip north.

Every one of these dogs is a miracle, and today they are one step closer to the loving homes and brighter futures that await them. ✨
