It’s been one month since our UPstander Luncheon, and we’re still inspired by the conversations, connections, and commitment to creating stronger communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared your stories, and helped make the event so meaningful. The energy in the room reminded us that positive change happens when people choose to stand up, speak out, and support one another.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate authenticity, resilience, and belonging, but it's also a reminder of the challenges many LGBTQ+ young people continue to face.

According to a study done by The Trevor Project, (52%) of LGBTQ+ youth enrolled in middle or high school reported being bullied, either in person or online, in the past year.

Every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, and accepted for who they are. At Community Matters, we're committed to creating school communities where kindness, inclusion, and connection are the norm, not the exception.

This Pride Month, let's do more than celebrate. Let's stand up against bullying, foster belonging, and ensure every student knows they matter.
