CALL FOR ENTRIES:
On Sunday, June 28th, 11am-3pm, the Santa Rosa Arts Center will accept submissions for our next small works exhibit, RED, WHITE & BLUE.

Do the colors red, white, and blue remind you of the founding of our country 250 years ago, patriotism, and the American flag? Or do they remind you of red kites, blue skies, or white flowers?

We invite artists to submit up to two entries in any medium predominantly featuring the colors red, white, and/or blue. Artwork is limited to 12" in any direction, including frames, and 2D pieces must be properly wired for hanging (no sawtooth hangers).

This show begins on July 2nd and will continue through August 29th. The First Friday Artists' Reception is on July 3rd from 5-8pm.

SPEAKEASY THURSDAY EVENING FROM 6-8pm!

Join us tomorrow evening (Thursday, June 11th) from 6-8pm for Speakeasy - our monthly gathering to share music and spoken word. It's FREE, but donations are appreciated.

This month's Speakeasy will feature poetry by Shawna L. Swetech and music by Steve Shain. Open mic follows the two sets, then there will be time to mingle for conversation and connection.

CREATION STATION TOMORROW (WED., JUNE 10th) FROM 3-5PM!

Join us tomorrow for Creation Station, which meets on the second Wednesday of each month! It's a place for creative people to get to know one another, to inspire each other, and to create together. Tomorrow, June 10th, from 3-5pm, we invite you to gather and create at the Santa Rosa Arts Center.

WE provide the space, including tables and chairs.
YOU bring something you're already working on or start something new.
YOU bring your own painting, drawing, or collage materials. Please limit the number and type of supplies you bring so there's enough workspace for everyone.

This is a FREE gathering, but donations are appreciated. Newcomers and drop-ins are always welcome!

Congratulations to Kathy Byrne, winner of the People's Choice Award for the OUT TO SEA exhibit! 👏 Kathy's beautiful watercolor painting is titled, "Bodega Sunset."

Congratulations as well to our four Honorable Mention winners: Carol Lorraine ("Deep Sea Beauty," hand-painted with silk dyes), José Padilla (Great Blue EEL," wood, acrylic), Oksana Pekker ("Harbor," mixed media collage), and Dylan Thomson ("Ocean Life," acrylic print)!

The People's Choice Award is based on votes cast by people choosing their favorite art piece during the first two days of each new exhibit. The People's Choice Award and Honorable Mention awards are presented during the First Friday Artists' Reception each month. Last night, Friday, June 5th, was the reception for our newest exhibit, OUT TO SEA.
