Petaluma Speedway 6-6-2026
Michael Paul Jr. reminded everyone on Saturday night why he's considered one of the greatest Modified drivers in Petaluma Speedway history.
The evening didn't exactly start according to plan. Arriving late to the track, Paul missed both hot laps and his heat race, forcing him to start at the rear of the field for the Modified main event. For most drivers, that would be a major obstacle. For Michael Paul Jr., it was simply a challenge to overcome.
It didn't take long for the defending 2025 Track Champion to carve his way through the field. Paul quickly found himself at the front and once he took command, the race was never in doubt. Unchallenged the rest of the way, he drove off to capture yet another Petaluma Speedway Modified victory.
The win was a historic one, marking career victory number 61 at Petaluma Speedway and extending his record as the all-time winningest Modified driver in track history. Back on August 12, 2023, Paul tied the legendary Joe Carr's long-standing mark of 57 Modified victories before eventually surpassing it and continuing to build on his remarkable legacy.
From missing hot laps and the heat race to standing in victory lane, Michael Paul Jr. once again proved why he's one of the toughest competitors to ever wheel a Modified around the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds adobe.
