Decision makers still promote commercial forest biomass energy production as a green and renewable resource for our energy demands, despite its reliance on harmful timber practices. It’s about time that decision makers take into account the full range of benefits provided by forests, such as clean air and water, carbon sequestration, habitat, and hotspots for biodiversity that the planet depends on.
