Texas Brody

10yrs ago today, we saw this video of Brody that brought us to tears. We donated and followed every update on him. Once he became available for adoption we learned that he was less than 20 minutes away from us.

I called Brody’s foster mom, Tracy, who informed me that she had just finished a home visit with a family that was perfect for him. I told her how emotionally attached we were to his story and that as long as he had a good home that was all we cared about.

A few days later Tracy called and told me that the family changed their mind and asked if we were still interested in adopting him. I said assuming he likes us and our then 2yr old Cavalier (Indy) we would absolutely love to adopt him.

Brody came over that Saturday for a home visit and everyone was immediately smitten. Indy and Brody bonded on day one and were instant BFF’s.

Brody was my heart dog and I’m still grieving his loss every day, but I am forever grateful that we got to spend almost 10yrs with him 💜
