This morning, our team explored a blind tasting of five Chardonnays led by Head Winemaker Matthew Casalenuovo 🍇

While each wine offered a distinct expression, they all shared one remarkable origin: Heintz Vineyard in Occidental, California. Matt has worked with this vineyard continuously since his very fist harvest internship in 2014 and is especially drawn to the site’s energetic acidity and remarkable richness that the old vines give, a unique signature of its cool coastal location that brings both precision and depth to the wines.
