Deconstruction Foreman
BASIC FUNCTION: Perform the supervision and duties outlined below to maintain the smooth, professional, efficient and safe operation of the Deconstruction crew of GreenLynx on job-sites and at the materials yard. Maintain good relations with other subcontractors and ensure co-workers are properly dressed, on-time, clean and respectful and generally safe at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Chief Operating Officer (COO) on decon projects eventually phasing into taking the lead on projects from start to completion. Maintain flow of the deconstruction phases and be able to potentially drive trucks if other driver is not available, lead & perform tasks with your co-workers, coordinate flow of materials from the reclaimed to the debris created, and administer safety meetings.

The Foreman will be in charge of job-sites when COO is not present, ensure co-workers are maintaining schedule and proper reclamation of items in salvage inventory.

This job is very physical and often times there are a lot of stairs or ladders to climb. There are many items that weigh in at 75 lbs plus and are awkward to handle. Good lifting posture and ability to lift 75 lbs or more is required. Candidate must be able to travel around the SF Bay Area for work, preferably have their own car or ability to navigate public transportation, be punctual, and from time to time, drive our 14' dump truck or drive rented 26' flatbed or box trucks.

Hourly Starting Wage: $18 - $23 DOE with a 90 day review and a 6 month review. After that we perform a yearly review. This currently is a part-time on call position until such time as full-time work is available.

After 90 days probation period, sick days will accrue at a rate of 3 paid sick days per year for a total of 24 hours annually. Additionally you will be paid for 6 holidays per year for a total of 48 hours pay.

Job Description: Class C licensed and clean driving record is required. CDL (Class A) not required.. Work will include driving a 14' dump truck to and from deconstruction sites to deliver reclaimed materials to our stores, as well as bringing demolished materials to transfer stations and recycling centers. Truck is an automatic raised dump and training can be provided. From time to time, it will also include driving rental trucks such as 26' flatbed and box trucks, as well as small pick-up trucks.

This position will also require manual labor to load the truck with demolition debris alongside the job-site crew, such as moving light to heavy construction materials (doors, windows, trim, cabinets etc) to staging areas, loading truck, and job site and material organization and clean up of truck. Light carpentry skills include removal of screwed fixtures, removal of tile, sheetrock and other debris, as well as denailing lumber, doors and trim would be a plus.

Required experience: Understanding of truck and road safety, truck maintenance and cleaning, careful moving of materials to prevent personal injury and protect materials from damage, some experience with basic tools and equipment such as straps, tarps, hammers, crow bars, pliers and air compressors.

Candidate must be familiar with SF Bay Area traffic conditions and roads in Sonoma, Marin, Oakland and San Francisco for work, preferably have their own car or ability to navigate public transportation to get the truck at the shop, and be punctual.
