Please join us Monday August 18th here at Borago to help Celebrate the Incredible Life of our Dear Friend and everyone’s FAVORITE Bartender Rick (aka Reggae)…

From 4-8 pm let’s gather together to share all of our favorite Rick stories and imbibe some of his favorite light bites and perfectly calculated concoctions (and of course some wine too!)

Casual Ceremony (and subsequent storytelling open mic) will start around 5:30…

We look forward to seeing you as we gather around his bar, lifting each other up with memories and plenty of belly laughs and hugs (and maybe some cheesecake too…?!?)

This is not an easy post.. but being open for business last night and feeling heaviness of knowing our friend Rick won’t be coming in to serve up the most perfect manhattan, or talk you into an incredible bottle of wine, or share one of his ridiculously inappropriate- yet hilarious- stories or sharing some of his famous cheesecake- or any of the other things that made this bigger than life man so lovable- is BEYOND heartbreaking

As many of people knew he was diagnosed in the fall of 2023, left for treatment and fought so hard.. he was able to come back to work last June; it was being connected with all of YOU, his entourage of loyal bar guests and more importantly friends- that kept him going

We recognized without a doubt there hasn’t been a stranger seated at Borago bar since the summer of 2013 when Rick joined the team.. he will forever be remembered as a HUGE part of our borago family and missed beyond comprehension

A celebration for his incredibly full life is being planned and we will keep you posted as soon as we know more. Until then raise a glass for the man who lived and love fiercely with ever ounce of his truly giving heart 💜💜🥃
