This is a photo recap of my week during the AWP Conference in Los Angeles. It was lovely to meet old friends and colleagues, make new ones, wander through the bookfair, and attend some inspiring literary panels. Thank you, , for the EFA images!

I live in Santa Monica and this photo was taken at Palisades Park yesterday. The fires raged all night and continue to burn today. Many people have lost their homes, including possibly one of my clients, whose World War II novel I’m working on. My husband and I packed our bags in case the fire shifts south. Never thought this would happen so close to our home. Praying for everyone’s safety and the end to this nightmare. 🙏
