Cyn Electric

Before I was introduced to artists like Joan Jett or Kathleen Hanna growing up, I hadn't been exposed to a lot of women in Rock. Until I stumbled upon this tv special on PBS about this powerhouse of an artist named Sarah Hudson. She was recording this song called Girl on the Verge and I immediately became so inspired by her and her music. Years down the road she would start a band called Ultraviolet Sound and through the many shows I attended we became friends. I still remember going to their first show in Riverside and how excited I was to meet her. It's crazy how one song or one person can change or inspire you and I have a lot to be grateful for when it comes to Sarah. I could never come close to doing her song justice, but I just wanted to pay homage to someone who truly inspired me and changed the trajectory of my musical journey. Thank you for your talents, your music, your presence in this universe, it is so very much appreciated. 💙
