Lots of fad diets out there claiming to lose weight fast but we find ourselves in a constant yo-yo cycle with them. Lose weight, gain it back, try it again.
Which diet works the best? The one you can sustain and create a lifestyle with!
Eat More, Move More, Lose More?
Yes! A lot of people that ask me for advice are eating far too low of calories, doing tons of cardio and making no progress.
If you want to boost your metabolism you have to eat more, move more and gain lean muscle mass.
I like to focus on individuals NEAT. How much energy are you expending during the day and simple ways to increase this. Here are my tips:
-Take a 10-15 minute walk after each meal, this will improve digestion, and stabilize blood sugar levels
-If you work an office job, instead of sitting for long period of times just simply stand! If you cant do this, for every 50 minutes you're sitting, take a 10 minute walk.
-Get outdoors! Go for walks, play with your kids!
-I enjoy doing household chores first thing in the morning before breakfast...you'd be surprised how this adds up!
