Join us on Saturday, May 13th for a hands-on erosion control workshop in piñon-juniper woodlands near Dixon, NM! We will meet at mile marker 3 along State Road 580 (Road to Ojo Sarco), at 9:00 am. We will spend the day learning how to build erosion-control structures with local rock and wood materials. Please bring work gloves, sun protection, a sack lunch, and enough water to get you through the day. We will have snacks, beverages, and additional water available as well. Be prepared for a short hike to the work area during which we will explain the area's history, geology, ecology, and erosion features. The event will last until approximately 3 pm.
