2026 NMIDEA Winter meeting in Santa Fe at Hotel Santa Fe. Great speakers Acting Secretary of Tourism Lancing Adams on economic tourism, Secretary Sarita Nair of Workforce Solutions, Presentations on shortage of Doctors in New Mexico, we heard from Matthew Pahl- Pacific Fusion. The highlight was honoring economic developers of our state. 1) Rural Economic Development Award- Mike Espiritu, President & CEO Roswell EDC 2) Economic Developer of the Year- Max Gruner, Director ED Albuquerque 3) NM First Award- Eric Montgomery, Director ED El Paso Electric 4) Public Servant of the Year- Dona Ana County Commission & Staff. Staff Achievement Award- Frankie Hermosillo, Senior ED Albuquerque. Congratulations to all award winners and thank Cassie Arias- Ward for serving as NMIDEA President for the past two years the torch was passed and we welcome Davin Lopez, President & CEO of MVEDA
