Unfortunately We will not be doing our annual Trunk or Treat this year! We are taking time to prepare for better and bigger things for the upcoming season!!

My therapist said to buy a vase from a second hand shop or similar, break it, glue it back together & paint the glued cracks gold. The end result would be that the gold in the repaired parts would be symbolic of the gold found in learning about yourself & how to be a better person when you fix the broken parts of you.

It didnt go to well.
This is what i learned…

You can’t rush the repair job. You have to go piece by broken piece.

You have to wait for the previous broken piece to set after being repaired.

You can’t shortcut by using superglue. It just cracks apart again.

You can’t get to the gold painting part until you’ve fixed each piece into place and waited for it to set.

There are bits and pieces that are permanently broken and will not go back together- they are too shattered. So, at the end I will had to decide how to fill up those gaps.

It was a messy process. There was glue all over my hands, the vase was in bits and pieces for a long time, pieces of cotton balls all over from trying to clean my mistakes, and then there are those useless pieces I will had to throw out.

Some of the tools I used to do the repair got discarded along the way and at the end. Some of them can be re-used on later on other projects.

The thing i learned the most of all of this is everyone can fall apart, the fall takes no time at all, but the putting back together is a long, tedious, frustrating and yet rewarding process!!
