The New Mexico State Police Search and Rescue Team is dedicated to serving our community and always ready to help those in need. If you’re looking to volunteer in the local Santa Fe area here is an excellent opportunity to help with some trail repair and maintenance! The Galisteo Basin Preserve hosts an excellent trail network that SFSAR often utilizes for training. Like many other parts of the state this area was hit hard by summer rains and needs some repairs to maintain the area, come out and lend a hand if you’re available Oct. 19th!

While not a NMVFO project, volunteers are needed to help repair flood-damaged trails at the Galisteo Basin Preserve near Lamy, NM. For those in the greater Santa Fe area, a workday is scheduled for Sunday, Oct 19. For more info and to sign up, please contact Ted Harrison at [email protected].
