A NEW YEAR HELLO from Lisa P! Please read on & pass along:
Dear intuitive friend,
I'm wishing you a sweet, fun-filled, flowy 2026.
You may have seen my meme, “What you flow with, you grow with.” A friend once asked me about it, “But, what is the 1st step to going with the flow?!” We both laughed, because she is do-it-by-the-book and I am shoot-from-the-hip.
As someone who teaches intuitive tools, it's a good idea for me to spell out a few steps for going with the flow, especially at a time when we're juggling community, work, fun, others' needs, their expectations, our obligations.
Back in the day, when I was busy event-planning and party-organizing, I wore myself out to the point of almost shouting, "There's got to be a better way!"
Suddenly, in return I heard/felt a distinct sense to STOP. To pull in the reins.
Gradually I began to change how I worked by integrating this stopping energy. At some point during a project I had to give up control and stop trying to please everyone. It sounds clichéd I know, but here’s how I did it:
The pausing was an exact moment that I would have to somehow intuit. I first had to allow for this moment, and the way to allow for it was, before I got too far into planning, I had to tell myself that I was going to wait to hear, or know, when to pause. I was essentially on the look out for it. I was inviting the moment to come to me.
The moment to pause & pivot would make itself known about 3/4 of the way into the project. When I'd notice it had come, I would let go of I have to dot all the i’s, and I have to cross all the “t’s.” It was more than behavior; it was an inner way, an inner re-direct.
Just as importantly, I’d also let myself in on the fun. Like I’d tell myself, “It’s time for me to have fun here, too. All of us together. Let’s ride this rodeo! Even if my cowboys forget their gear and fall off!”
I exaggerate 😉😂 but even though I was managing the participants' activities, they were ultimately responsible for taking care of themselves and making their own choices.
Then ... a spontaneous, fun, vibe would just roll through the entire event, like a wave of magic.
Now, I didn't stop doing my job. I’d choose which i’s to dot and which t’s to cross. Now I was in a place of being able to respond, rather than being burdened by responsibility. ( This is one of the exercises I teach: How to energetically ”swipe left" the responsibility fatigue. P**f! Off it goes, buh-bye! )
And obviously, this going-with-the-flow process doesn't work just for events; it works with projects, relationships, problems, creative goals, anything. It can even become a way of life.
Below are some steps for those cowgirls who need 'em.

Thank you Gwen & Aimee, 2 of the fabulous staff at the Los Alamos Libraries who orchestrated the themed series, De-Stress December, and invited me to be one of the presenting Practitioners. And, we got library swag!! How cool is that? I so appreciated my hubby's gentle and engaged presence, he gets more & more intuitive over the years.
The other pics are from our visit to the White Rock lookout, which we hadn’t been to together in 20 years …!
