Mistake: as I was taking this photo of my WIP- I saw a dropped stitch! I marked it with a pink locking marker, took the photo anyway, took a deep breathe and later fixed it.
But, yet, another mistake! This is the lovely and interesting Neutra Wrap , and when I scored my mini skeins, 1. I just got them with no pattern in mind. 2. It’s my first mini skein experience. 3. Loved this pattern but didn’t realize all mini skeins are not the same yardage. 4. Just dove in, only to realize my mini skeins didn’t have enough yardage!
So now I’m improvising with the MC and it’s coming out cool, but not exactly like the pattern.
What do you do when you make a mistake?
I do have a tip for your unlabeled mini skeins. If a pattern calls for a certain yardage, you can figure it out thus: untwist the skein, count the strands on one side. Multiply by two, then multiply by the length in inches, then divide by 36 ( represents inches in a yard which will give you the yardage).
My mistake number three so far was not doing this at the beginning of my
project!

Happy Halloween y’all!
This knitted beauty skeleton head was made by my friend, Ellen . Such a resource for amazing creature patterns. Eventually I will get the large skull pattern to make and add to my rather large collection of skulls and skeletons in their many forms. But fiber art! The best!
