Dr. Nakamoto brings over two decades of experience working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, and complex emotional histories. Her background includes intensive clinical work with survivors of violence, high-acuity crisis cases, and clients navigating deep psychological wounds.

She integrates CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based therapy, relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, and trauma-informed care into her sessions. Joyce is especially passionate about helping clients develop emotional regulation, reclaim internal safety, and build meaningful, sustainable change — all within a warm, grounded, culturally attuned therapeutic space.
