Are you moving out? Do you have bulky items that you need to get rid of?

For bulky items that can no longer be reused, you can schedule a pick-up with the city of Santa Cruz in the month of June. These pickups are only for large bulky items that will be taken to the landfill. This includes mattresses, box springs, couches, living room chairs and other large household items.
Be advised that there is a fee to use this service, but it is very inexpensive compared to being fined for illegally dumping your unwanted items or paying a private service to pick up your items.
The first 50 sign-ups for bulky item pickup will receive a free large pizza coupon for Woodstock’s pizza! To receive your coupon for your pizza, like the Good Neighbor Initiative page and send an email to [email protected] stating that you signed up for bulky item pickup. Please provide an address where we can send your coupon through the mail. All requests for pizza coupons via the bulky item pick-up will be verified with the city of Santa Cruz.

The long-historical fissures of American life and justice are now nakedly visible. This is an urgent moment, one that calls for resolve, thought, and action.

This Friday, June 5, at 1:00 pm PST join us on Zoom for The Fire This Time: Race at Boiling Point, a conversation with Angela Y. Davis (Emerita, UC Santa Cruz), Herman Gray (Emeritus, UC Santa Cruz), Gaye Theresa Johnson (UC Los Angeles), Robin D. G. Kelley (UCLA), and Josh Kun (USC).
