Jeremy True pointed out that my
portrait was inadvertently captured in my
photograph of the prototype of the Walker Manual
Glitch Pedal that I will be unveiling a week from
today (at 4:00 pm at the Y2K International Live Looping Festival
(Santa Cruz County Actors' Theatre 1001 Center Street)
I thought that was hilarious as all the profile pics are round
at FaceBook.

My new plugin does ridiculous things (Transit 2 w/ Baby Audio) 10/16/2024

Hi Audionauts, I've been so impressed with musician/developer Andrew Huang's collaboration with Baby Audio.
I've been using TRANIST (for OSX/Win) since it came out and they have just released TRANSIT 2 with a MASSIVE upgrade.
Just a disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Baby Audio or Andrew Huang, they have just created an unbelievably powerful tool for creating very sophisticated transitions in recorded music that
allow one to control dozens of effects in concert with each other:
all controlled with a single button that can also be automated.
Additionally, they have great randomization tools which are really useful for stumbling onto cool sound design ideas.
Huang and Baby Audio have added so many features to this new
update with dozens of controllable rhythmic and timbral effects
added as well as a huge amount of presets.
They are selling this for $79 right now (back to $129 very soon) and if you already have TRANSIT 1, it's only $29 to upgrade.

It for me is, literally, one of the best bargains in audio production I've seen. Let Andrew show you himself.

IT LIVES!!!!!
After 15 long years, the first working prototype of the WALKER MANUAL GLITCH PEDAL has been created by the brilliant young programmer/engineer/musician Chris Tatosian in Berlin.
This will be the third time I've worked with someone to try and manifest this pedal, designed to physically manipulate incoming signals with one's fingers.
I'm deeply indebted to how hard Chris has worked to manifest this (and to also add a lot of very hip functionality that I didn't design)
not to mention what an enviable skill set this young man has.

So, first it needs to be mailed to me from Berlin. Second, I need to learn how to use it (including the functionality that Chris added to my initial design), Third, I will demonstrate this at the Y2K24 International Live Y2K24 International Live Looping Festivals on Saturday, November 2nd at 4 p.m. Fourth, there will be some additions to functionality and a bit of cosmetic change and it will be available for purchase in the start of the new year.

I'm so giddy with excitement that I can't see straight.
WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks,

What a hip new VST effect, innovated by
Decent Sampler (fantastic site with tons of free instruments available) David Hilowitz.
It allows you to use whatever you input and turn it into
a sequencer with a lot of control over envelope, delay, etc.
This is a cool video about how he conceived of the idea from the very first idea to it's creation. It's short but fascinating.

A lot of fun music will come from this puppy. I just bought it
and have no connection with the company so it's just from my heart.
And, for another week it's on sale for $29 (and then raise to $99 , which is worth it).

I'm really excited, artistically, today:
I just had an amazing two hour tutorial in the video manipulation and projection mapping program, RESOLUME (used by professional event visual artists all over the world) by the
Audio/Visual genius, David Tristram. His work, mixing his ideas with the brilliant LoopyCamâ„¢ work of Tim Thompson at this last years' 20th Anniversary of the Y2K International Live Looping Festivals was my inspiration to invest in this amazing program that allows not only for very sophisticated video composition but also for real time control (jamming) of image manipulation during musical shows.

I'm so excited to begin a new phase of my artistic life and this tool
is at the heart of a lot of it. (I have some very cool innovative audio
tricks I'm looking forward to mastering as well).

Thanks, David Tristram!!!!
