Porter is a member of Housing Matters’ Lived Experience Advisory Group, his story reflects what is possible when housing supports belonging. He shared:
“Housing Matters helped me in so many different ways. To learn how to respect property and how to respect people and just how to respect myself, know that there's a better way than what I was living.”
When a strong system of care is in place, growth is possible. Health improves, stability grows, and people move forward.
