This week Direct Relief has been sending out urgent medical supplies to areas ravaged by Hurricane Helene. Some of the clinics have been in dire need. The Ridge Fire at the Hollister Ranch in Santa Barbara County has burned 16.9 acres in rugged terrain. It is 30 % contained. A person has been arrested for allegedly starting the fire. Carpinteria's Alcazar Theatre celebrates 96 years with a free show last night featuring a movie, stage play, improv, city honors and live music with the Traveling Hurtados. Congratulations to the Alcazar staff and many more years of great community events!
