The Xerces Society is hiring a Western Monarch Conservation Biologist in California:

Endangered Species Conservation Biologist - PNW: Lead the development of a conservation strategy for six species of native bumble bees in Washington State;l develop species fact sheets for federal land managers to identify, survey, and manage habitat for invertebrate species of conservation concern on public lands of the Pacific Northwest. Location: Portland, OR.

Endangered Species Conservation Biologist - Western Monarchs: Manage two western monarch community science projects: the Western Monarch Thanksgiving and New Year’s Counts and Western Monarch Milkweed Mapper; provide guidance to land managers and the public for maintaining and restoring monarch breeding habitat throughout their range in the West; conduct field-based overwintering habitat and monarch count surveys, and organize and deliver training events. Location: California

Endangered Species Conservation Advocate: Use evidence-based approach to advocate and inspire action for butterflies, bees, and other invertebrates; develop status reviews and petitions, prepare comments on federal, state and local actions, provide technical assistance to land managers and agency staff on invertebrate conservation, and inspire action using outreach and education. Location: Sacramento, CA, or Portland, OR.

Membership Assistant: provide support to Xerces members and donors, and to the membership team at Xerces; directly help members and donors with the complete donation process, with maintaining their donor profile, and with questions about the organization, our work, and how to get involved. We love engaging with our donors and the Membership Assistant will play a key front-line role in stewarding this relationship. Location: Portland, OR.
