🖤💚 “Everyone deserves the chance to fly…” 💚🖤
Our Adams Elementary students absolutely defied gravity with their incredible full performance of Wicked! 🌟🎭
After months of rehearsals, memorizing lines, practicing choreography, learning music, and building confidence on stage, our students delivered a performance full of heart, creativity, and talent. Watching them bring this story to life was truly magical. ✨
The performing arts give students the opportunity to grow in confidence, teamwork, communication, creativity, and self-expression — and these students shined in every way possible. We could not be prouder of all of their hard work and dedication! Bravo to our amazing performers and staff! 👏🎶

🎬🐶 Lights, camera, ACTION! 🎥✨
With the help of our incredible teachers at CES, our Film Club students brought their creativity to life by creating their very own movie: The Secrets of Barking Dogs Elementary! 🐾🎞️
From brainstorming ideas and writing their own script to memorizing lines, acting on camera, recording scenes, and even helping edit the final film, these students experienced every step of the filmmaking process. Their imagination, teamwork, confidence, and dedication over the past few months have been nothing short of inspiring. 🌟
We are so proud of our young filmmakers for taking risks, thinking creatively, and bringing their vision to the big screen! 🍿🎬

🌎✨ At CES, imagination had no limits! ✨🌎
Our students created their very own fantasy worlds filled with magical creatures, funny characters, powerful fantasy animals, and endless creativity — all inspired by their own ideas and imagination. 🐉🦄⚡
Students designed a detailed map of their lands, explored storytelling and world-building, and even created their own custom Pokémon-style cards featuring the unique creatures they invented. 🎴🗺️
Projects like these are so important because they encourage creativity, problem-solving, communication, and confidence. When students are given the freedom to imagine, create, and share their ideas, they strengthen critical thinking skills while learning how to express themselves in meaningful ways. Activities like this help students become innovators, storytellers, artists, and collaborative thinkers — all while having fun. 💡✨
We are so proud of our students for thinking outside the box and bringing their imaginations to life! 🌟
From the booth to the dance floor ✨
Active Learning had an amazing time at Ignite the Night celebrating creativity, movement, music, and learning beyond the classroom with the NMUSD community. Our team brought the energy all night long 🎶💃🕺
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, danced with us, and helped make the night unforgettable!
We brought a little magic to Día de los Niños at Wilson Elementary last week✨
Día de los Niños (Children’s Day) is a celebration dedicated to honoring children—their joy, their voices, and their right to feel valued, supported, and celebrated. It’s a reminder that every child deserves moments of play, connection, and happiness, simply for being a child.
Through this special event, students were able to experience that joy firsthand with games like can toss, potato sack races, blowing bubbles, obstacle courses, face painting, and so much more 🎉
Moments like these go far beyond fun activities. When children are seen, celebrated, and given opportunities like this, it builds confidence, encourages social and emotional growth, and reinforces their sense of belonging and self-worth. These are the kinds of experiences that leave lasting impact well beyond the classroom.
Here at Active Learning, we’re grateful to create spaces where culture, joy, and community come together for our students 💛
