At Active Learning, the safety of the children we serve will always be our #1 priority. π
This week, our team completed Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid training because we believe preparation saves lives. We donβt just meet requirementsβwe invest in our people so they feel equipped, confident, and ready to respond in any emergency.
When our teachers feel prepared, they lead with confidence. And when they lead with confidence, our students are in the best possible hands.
This commitment to safety is one of the many ways we strive to go above and beyond for the schools, families, and communities we serve.

Our Adams Elementary students absolutely defied gravity with their incredible full performance of Wicked! ππ
After months of rehearsals, memorizing lines, practicing choreography, learning music, and building confidence on stage, our students delivered a performance full of heart, creativity, and talent. Watching them bring this story to life was truly magical. β¨
The performing arts give students the opportunity to grow in confidence, teamwork, communication, creativity, and self-expression β and these students shined in every way possible. We could not be prouder of all of their hard work and dedication! Bravo to our amazing performers and staff! ππΆ

π¬πΆ Lights, camera, ACTION! π₯β¨
With the help of our incredible teachers at CES, our Film Club students brought their creativity to life by creating their very own movie: The Secrets of Barking Dogs Elementary! πΎποΈ
From brainstorming ideas and writing their own script to memorizing lines, acting on camera, recording scenes, and even helping edit the final film, these students experienced every step of the filmmaking process. Their imagination, teamwork, confidence, and dedication over the past few months have been nothing short of inspiring. π
We are so proud of our young filmmakers for taking risks, thinking creatively, and bringing their vision to the big screen! πΏπ¬

πβ¨ At CES, imagination had no limits! β¨π
Our students created their very own fantasy worlds filled with magical creatures, funny characters, powerful fantasy animals, and endless creativity β all inspired by their own ideas and imagination. ππ¦β‘
Students designed a detailed map of their lands, explored storytelling and world-building, and even created their own custom PokΓ©mon-style cards featuring the unique creatures they invented. π΄πΊοΈ
Projects like these are so important because they encourage creativity, problem-solving, communication, and confidence. When students are given the freedom to imagine, create, and share their ideas, they strengthen critical thinking skills while learning how to express themselves in meaningful ways. Activities like this help students become innovators, storytellers, artists, and collaborative thinkers β all while having fun. π‘β¨
We are so proud of our students for thinking outside the box and bringing their imaginations to life! π
From the booth to the dance floor β¨
Active Learning had an amazing time at Ignite the Night celebrating creativity, movement, music, and learning beyond the classroom with the NMUSD community. Our team brought the energy all night long πΆππΊ
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, danced with us, and helped make the night unforgettable!
