New paintings dropping Thursday!

This is the first work I’ve created in quite some time. And the first iteration in a much larger shift, I imagine.

I’m working with more neutral colors here and there. I’ve been studying decay and breakage.

There seems to be a bit of tug-a-war happening in my pink and purple world. Is it a new force coming in to occupy? Or simply a metamorphosis of the old? Only time will tell.

More obviously (and not surprisingly if you’ve read recent newsletters or listened to ), loss and existentialism are central. But they’re not playing out as I might have thought (another parallel to my life experience. Art is meta af.). Rather than an extra heavy presence, in the work they’re just another narrative or turn of events. Surrounded by questions, humor and even lightness.

Maybe there’s something there for myself, or for us, or both— who knows.
