Denton County Public Health provides essential community education to prevent heat-related illness and aquatic accidents. The program focuses on proactive "layers of protection," emphasizing the importance of constant supervision near water, proper use of safety gear, and vigilant hydration. By promoting simple, life-saving habits and heat awareness, the initiative helps residents navigate high-temperature environments and recreational water activities safely.
Join us to learn more about staying safe in the sun and water this summer. This program is FREE and open to the public.

Whether you’ve been homeschooling for years or are just starting to explore the idea, everyone is welcome! Join us at the library for a relaxed, informal gathering designed to bring our local families together. While the kids enjoy space to play and make new friends, parents can swap stories, share favorite resources, and lean on each other for tips and encouragement. Plus, we’ll show you some of the amazing (and free!) ways the library can support your journey.
No registration and no pressure—just a chance to build a stronger community together. We can’t wait to see you there!
