Psalm 23:4 reminds us that the Good Shepherd does not promise a life free from valleys—He promises His presence in them.

David’s confidence was not in his own strength or in changing circumstances, but in the character of God.

Our hope is never rooted in the absence of suffering, but in the unchanging presence of the Shepherd who leads His people.
