There are moments in life that don’t just break your heart, they hollow out the room around it.

Last year, our Workman family member, JJ Quiamjot, lost his father. Before the weight of that grief had even settled, tragedy struck again. JJ has now lost his little brother, and his family is facing an impossible situation no family should ever have to navigate while mourning.

Right now, JJ and his brothers are desperately trying to gather enough funds to bring their brother home and give him a proper funeral. They need to raise ₱220,000 by Sunday just to secure the funeral arrangements, while also carrying an overwhelming hospital balance of nearly ₱700,000. Loans have been denied, options are running thin, and the clock is moving with the cruelty only grief seems to understand.

If you know JJ, you know his heart. He is the kind of person who quietly shows up, works hard, supports others, and keeps moving forward even when life feels like it’s swinging a sledgehammer wrapped in barbed wire. He has always been someone others can count on. Today, he needs people to count on.
