A homeowner recently purchased a house where a shower leak was disclosed and said to be fully repaired. They began to feel sick and called a restoration company that inspected the area, noted surface staining, sprayed it, and took no further action.

When the homeowner continued to feel sick, they called Utah Flood Guys. During our inspection, we removed the discolored subfloor to look below the surface using a boroscope. What we found was new subfloor butted against old, damaged subfloor that was still wet.

Although the shower had been replaced, the underlying damage had never been addressed. We removed the lower shower and hot tub room walls and discovered a drain line with two holes in it. They ordered another test and this time it passed inspection.
