Before joining the Sandy Springs Police Department, many of our officers served communities across the country. While each badge tells a different story, today they all wear the same badge and share the same mission: working together to serve the Sandy Springs community.

Our own FTO Eddie, who proudly hails from Jamaica, and his patrol partner, Andre the iguana, are loving this Georgia heat! 🇯🇲🦎☀️

Before anyone asks... Andre is stuffed, so he's perfectly content riding around in the air conditioning while keeping Eddie company on patrol.

While Eddie and Andre may be enjoying the sunshine, the Georgia heat is no joke for our real furry and scaly friends.

☀️ PSA: Never leave your pets in a parked vehicle. Even with the windows cracked, temperatures inside a car can become dangerously hot in just minutes.

If they can't go inside with you, the safest place for them is at home.
