Dr. Jackson's path to ophthalmology started long before medical school. He began as a technician for an eye doctor, and the moment he saw firsthand the impact a surgeon could have on a patient's vision, he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. That passion has never left him.

One of his most unforgettable patients was a non-verbal nursing home resident who had cataract surgery on both eyes. He couldn't tell the team what had changed. But his nurses could. For the first time in years, they found him in his room shaving on his own, because he could finally see himself in the mirror 🥹

That is the kind of story that reminds us all why this work matters.
