Last Saturday was one of those days that reminds you why we all choose to be here. A true bluebird powder day at Schweitzer — sunshine, soft turns everywhere, and that feeling that the whole mountain was alive.
What made it special wasn’t just the snow (which was as good as it gets), it was seeing the entire community out there. Friends riding lifts together, kids charging around, familiar faces at every turn. Everyone just skiing their legs off and soaking it in.

Days like that don’t happen without the people who make this place what it is. Really grateful to be part of this mountain community. Here’s to more Saturdays like that!

Last night was one for the books..
turned the Discover Center into a buzzing pop-up gallery with the amazing , and the Schweitzer community showed UP. We love creating spaces where art, people, and good energy collide. Here’s to a strong second half of ski season and many more nights like this 🥂🎿

Join [us] at Schweitzer Mountain Resort Jan 17th for an opening reception featuring the work of Christy Branson, an acclaimed encaustic and mixed-media artist. The event will be held at the Schweitzer Mountain Properties development offices in the Selkirk Lodge from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.
Christy’s work is centered on the slow, tactile process of building up rich surfaces—melding melted wax, pigment, and fire to forge paintings that are as much sculptural object as expressive image. Experience a curated selection of Christy’s encaustic and mixed media works set against the backdrop of Schweitzer Mountain, bringing together the spirit of high-altitude landscape and the layered textures of her art.
