Sandpoint Reflexology
Travel is wonderful... but it can also be hard on the body.
When I'm away from my normal routine, there are a few reflex points I always come back to.
I like to spend a few minutes working the spleen reflex, the lymph reflexes, and the thymus reflex to help support my body while I'm on the go.
Sometimes I'll use a little Thieves essential oil, take a few deep breaths, and pray as I work through the points.
It's a simple way to slow down, reconnect, and give my body a little extra support during busy travel days.
Summer adventures don't have to mean abandoning the habits that help you feel your best.
A few minutes of reflexology can fit into a rest stop, an airport gate, or a quiet moment before bed.
God designed our bodies with incredible healing wisdom.
Sometimes all we need is a little support to tap back into it.
One thing I always recommend during summer travel is keeping a few simple reflexology techniques in your back pocket.
I've used this hand reflex on road trips, while waiting for food at restaurants, sitting at baseball games, and even in the passenger seat on long drives.
Summer often brings a change of pace. More activities, more time in the car, different schedules, and lots of fun packed into a short season.
The nice thing about hand reflexology is that you can do it anywhere without anyone even noticing.
When you thumb walk the spine reflex on your hand, you're giving your body a chance to slow down and reset, even if it's only for a minute or two.
I like to pair it with a few deep breaths and a simple prayer. It's a small habit, but it helps me feel more grounded when the day feels full.
If you're traveling this summer, don't underestimate what a one-minute reset can do. Sometimes a few quiet moments are enough to help you feel refreshed and ready to enjoy the rest of your day.
If you've ever traveled with kids, you know that vacation can be a little less "rest and relaxation" and a little more "Where's your shoe?" and "How are we already out of snacks?"
Between early mornings, long car rides, missed naps, busy schedules, and trying to keep everyone happy, it's not unusual for a headache to sneak in along the way.
When that happens, I often turn to a quick hand reflexology routine. I'll spend a few minutes working the reflex points for the head, neck, and spine while sitting in the car, waiting for an activity to start, or winding down in the hotel room at the end of the day.
It's a simple way to pause, take a few deep breaths, and check in with my body before pushing through the rest of the day.
One of the things I love most about hand reflexology is that it travels with you. You don't need a quiet room, special equipment, or a full hour to yourself. Just a few minutes can help you feel more grounded in the middle of a busy travel day.
Because let's be honest, moms rarely get a vacation from being moms.
But that doesn't mean you can't take a few moments to care for yourself along the way.
God cares about every part of us, including the tired, overstimulated, headache-prone version that shows up after a day of summer adventures. Sometimes a few deep breaths, a simple reflexology routine, and a quick prayer are exactly what I need to keep going.

This is really exciting news for the reflexology industry! I've been following this research for the last couple of years, and the results are phenomenal. It is exciting to see the science behind how reflexology affects the brain! See the press release below.

As summer rolls in, I just love drinking water.
Our delicious well water, flavored water, ice tea, you name it! But my favorite is my Green Lemonade.
It’s an energy boost, contains stress vitamins, antioxidants and supports gut health.
But here’s the thing. I don’t know about you, but the older I get the less I can tolerate even small amounts of alcoholic beverages.
Just last night I went out for a glass of wine with my bestie, and my joint pain was through the roof this morning! I slept horribly and woke up in pain.
So…I am at a stage where I need to replace my social drinks with healthier, tasty options, and Green lemonade does EXACTLY that.
Here’s the link if you’d like to download the recipe.

Most people think about packing snacks, chargers, and sunscreen before a long trip.
But very few people think about how travel affects their bodies.
Long hours sitting in the car, busy schedules, unfamiliar beds, and packed itineraries leave me feeling tired before vacation is even over.
Reflexology is one simple way I like to support my body while traveling.
It doesn't eliminate every travel stressor, but its a helpful tool for encouraging relaxation, supporting circulation, and helping your body unwind after a busy day.
If you're traveling this summer, swipe through for a few ways reflexology can support you along the way.
What's your biggest travel challenge: staying energized, sleeping well, or dealing with stress?

A few months ago, I hosted a workshop where I shared a deeper look into how my faith and reflexology naturally weave together.
While reflexology supports the body physically, I also love creating space to slow down, reflect, pray, and invite God into the healing process. It's something that has become a meaningful part of both my personal life and my practice.
One of my favorite ways to do that at home is by pairing prayer and journaling with a simple reflexology routine. Taking just a few minutes to care for your body while spending time with the Lord can be a great way to reset during a busy day.
I recently put together a free prayer guide that includes scripture, reflection questions, and journaling prompts to use alongside your reflexology practice.
Whether you're walking through a stressful season, needing a few moments of quiet, or just wanting to be more intentional in your wellness journey, I hope it encourages you.
Comment PRAYER and I'll send it your way.

Maycember has officially come to an end, and if you're anything like me, you're feeling it.
After weeks of school events, sports, celebrations, and all the things, our family is easing into summer with a little extra rest and recovery. Lately, I've been finding peace in simple things like walks without my phone, time in the garden, and moments of quiet.
It is amazing how much noise we carry every day. Sometimes what our nervous system needs most is not more information. It is less.
That is one of the things I love about reflexology. It creates space to unplug, embrace the silence, and release some of the stress we have been holding in our bodies.
If you need a few minutes of calm, I put together a quick one minute reflexology routine you can do at home.
And if you are ready for a deeper reset, I would love to see you in the studio this summer. My schedule fills quickly as I reduce my hours, so be sure to book your appointment soon.

s school starts winding down for the summer, I know a lot of moms are stepping into a season that feels both exciting and exhausting at the same time.
The routines change, the house gets louder, and the days somehow fill up even faster. In the middle of caring for everyone else, it can be easy to ignore the signs that your own body is asking for rest and support too.
Over the years, I’ve found that small, intentional moments can make a bigger difference than we realize.
A few minutes of reflexology in the evening, or simply slowing down long enough to reconnect with both the Lord and the needs of your body can help bring a sense of peace back into busy seasons.
Recently, I put together a free guide that combines simple at-home reflexology techniques with guided prayer, scripture, and journal prompts. It’s designed to help create small moments of rest and reflection that fit into busy everyday life.
If your body and heart have been asking for more rest lately too, you can download the free guide through the link in my bio.

Summer road trips are some of my favorite family memories.
They can also leave your body feeling a little less than refreshed.
Hours in the car, changes in routine, late nights, and lots of sitting can all add up. That's one reason I love having a few simple reflexology techniques in my back pocket when we travel.
A few minutes before we leave, at a rest stop, or before bed can help me slow down, reconnect with my body, and ease some of the tension that tends to build throughout the day.
In today's post, I'm sharing a few simple ways to incorporate reflexology into your next road trip.
