I have mentioned more than once how much fun this job has become. We are so blessed by this service. Ariel and I not only get to spend time with a wide variety of animals but also in unique settings. Such is the case with my current job. I, Barb, am caring for two beautiful dogs with the sweetest disposition. They have filled my heart with love. Not only am I enjoying these beautiful animals, I am doing it in a beautiful setting. It has been a pleasure to wake up each day and marvel in the beauty of North Idaho and Lake Pend Oreille.

This has been a very busy summer for us at Selkirk Farmsitting Services, with both Ariel and I, Barb, caring for a wide variety of animals in unique settings. I am currently caring for animals in one of my favorite settings. This home is located on a mountain with woods and a large pond. Most of the critters are Feathered Friends in all sizes and shapes. They also have two cats and three loveable, playful dogs who are masters in letting their demands known. They are such a joy and over time we have developed a special bond.
But my post today is more about how this family let's nature take it's course. The animals are allowed the freedom to room and reproduce in a natural environment. They are provided shelter and one of the dogs makes sure predators are kept away as much as possible in this environment. For me, it is joy to visit and see what new critters I will be caring for, always a new adventure.

My second job this week is pet/house sitting for a dear friend. I am blessed that they have entrusted us to care for their home and precious pets. A bonus is being able to spend time in such a relaxing setting. I have the best job ever

I have had the privilege of pet sitting at two different locations this week. One is a repeat customer, and I am fortunate that Ariel will share these two adorable boys with her Mom. They are just the cutest little guys and turn a difficult day into a great day. How could you not fall in love.
