• same business - new purpose •

When I stepped away from photography in Fall of 2022, I was tired, burnt out, & dreaded the moments I had to touch my camera. I wanted to focus on my career path with the agency I work for. It was more stable, safe, & I could clock out at 5 & forget it. I had no fire under me or reason to keep going with a business that had become nothing more than something else to worry about.

Little did I know that I'd be blessed in 2023 with a baby boy & again in 2024 with a baby girl. Becoming a mom shifted so much for me. The biggest shift being my purpose in life. My hopes and dreams changed. And for a while it left me broken. Left me crying behind a closed office door. Because I wanted nothing more than to spend every minute with my babies.

Let me preface what I am about to say with this: I fully believe God has me where I am for a reason & I have no intentions to leave my full time job anytime soon.

My dream used to be moving up the ladder & making more money. My dream now is to have babies running everywhere while I make grilled cheese for lunch on a random Tuesday. Yes you read right: the goal is to stay home with the kids. With that being said, the passion for photography has returned. The purpose is there. The fire is lit & it's burning brighter than ever.

During this process of revamping a business, I'm leaning into Psalm 138:8 - the Lord endures forever & He will fulfill his purpose in me. I'm thankful for a husband that fully supports my dreams & reminds on the hard days that I'm a good mom no matter what I do.

If you do nothing else, pray with me & for me. Here's to 2026, a renewed purpose, & more babies (no I'm not pregnant).
