A few signs that your house might be HAUNTED 👻 Just kidding… Still, this time of year is notorious for sneaky issues like water damage, clogged gutters, and unwelcome critters.

But fear not! We've got some tips to keep your fall from becoming "spooky" in all the wrong ways 👀

💧 Water Leaks and Mold: Stains and discoloration could signal water leakage from outside, and mold might be lurking in unseen areas. Don't ignore any musty or stale smells! Address leaks promptly and clean up any mold to keep your home safe and cozy.

🍂 Clogged Gutters and Downspouts: Check your gutters and downspouts for debris, ensuring proper water drainage and avoiding any surprises. If you hear rattling in your ceiling or walls, that could be a sign of a blockage.

🌬️ Air Leaks and Holes: Those tiny, unpatched holes can cost you big time in heating bills. Inspect areas where different materials meet, like door and window frames. Try a simple incense stick test for more thorough leak checks.

🐭 Pest Infestations: As the weather cools, critters seek cozy shelters, and your attic or basement might look inviting. Seal off any entry points and watch for signs like droppings, chewed wires, or strange pet behavior.

Did you know one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime? And even more will know or love someone fighting this destructive disease.

That’s why, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to raise awareness about this form of cancer. Take a look at a few key facts below:

💝 One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

💝 The average age of diagnosis is 62, but breast cancer can occur at any age.

💝 Early detection is key to survival. When breast cancer is caught before it has spread to other areas of the body, the five-year relative survival rate is 99%.

💝 As such, it's important to talk to your doctor about any risk factors and get regular mammograms once it’s recommended you do so.

💝The United States Preventive Services Task Force recommends women ages 50-74 with an average risk receive a mammogram every two years. Women ages 40 to 49 should talk with their doctor to determine when to start and frequency.

💝 There are many effective treatments for breast cancer, and the survival rate has been steadily increasing in recent years.
