AI can support therapy.

It should not replace it.

AI can be helpful for things like journaling prompts, organizing your thoughts, practicing what you want to say, or preparing for a therapy session.

Sometimes it can help you find language for something you have been feeling but could not quite explain yet.

That can be useful.

But AI does not know your full story.
It does not have a therapeutic relationship with you.
It cannot assess safety the way a trained human can.
It may miss trauma patterns, crisis concerns, context, or the deeper meaning behind what you are saying.

A helpful way to think about it:

Use AI for reflection.
Use therapy for processing.

Use AI to organize thoughts.
Use therapy to understand patterns.

Use AI to prepare for hard conversations.
Use therapy to explore why those conversations feel hard.

AI can be a tool in your support system, but it should not be the whole support system.

You still deserve real connection, real care, and real human support.
